I realized moisturizing my daughter's skin is one of the most important steps in providing relief from her baby eczema. I've also realized that moisturizing with the right baby eczema cream is another important step I can't ever over look again.
When my child was diagnosed with her skin condition, I immediately grabbed the first popular baby eczema cream my friends where suggesting. To my dismay, the cream didn't work and it made my daughter's eczema worst. So then I grad the 2nd most popular baby eczema cream my friends where suggesting and "surprise surprise"this cream didn't work either. So like any other caring parent, I decided to do my own research.
So what did I find this time you might ask... Well this is what I found.
I've found that an effective baby eczema cream contains Natural Vitamin E. Again its Natural Vitamin E and not the Synthetic stuff. The scientific name for natural Vitamin E is tocopheryl acetate or d-alpha tocopherol. (I wouldn't be able to pronounce the name correctly if you offered me $5 to say it.) To spot the synthetic vitamin E in in a baby eczema cream, look for the scienticfic names of DL-Tocopherol or DL- tocopheryl acetate in the ingredent section of the products.
The first two baby eczema creams I've tried on my daughter skin didn't contain the natural vitamin E. From my research, the human body absord and retained natural vitamin E better than the synthetic version.
So why would a company use synthetic vitamin e in their baby eczema cream when there is a natural solution available? Well... it can all come down to time and money. Synthetic Vitamin E is easier, faster and cheaper to make. Easier + Faster + Cheaper = More money in the pockets the company.
So bottom line... Try a Baby Eczema Cream with Natural Vitamin E before you try the others.
